E-MOVERS | Issue #21 âRoots Before Fruitâ

Theme: âRoots Before Fruitâ
Inspired by: Dr. Michael L. Favors | Essential Leaders Institute
Every strong tree teaches us a lesson: before the branches spread wide, the roots must grow deep. Growth without grounding leads to collapse. In business, leadership, health, and faith, the unseen roots of discipline, faithfulness, and patience determine how high we can go. Fruit comes later, but roots sustain it.
"What's up Movers." Dr. Mike here. Letâs talk about building momentum that lasts. Anybody can look like theyâre growing for a season, but if you want results that multiply and endure, youâve got to get rooted. Oh Yeah! Be sure to check out the investment opportunity at the bottom â youâll thank me later!

Essential Insight: Strenght in the Hidden Work
What people see (fruit) always comes after what they donât see (roots). Your quiet study, early mornings, consistent savings, disciplined prayers â thatâs root work. Mission-driven leaders donât chase applause; they cultivate roots in private so they can bear fruit in public.

LITTLE-KNOWN FACT:
Bamboo can take up to 5 years to establish its roots underground before it ever breaks the soil. But once it does, it can grow over 90 feet in 6 weeks.

Myth: Success is about who notices you.
Truth: Success is about who you become when no one is watching.

Essential Move of the Week:
Root Before You Reach
Before trying to launch something big, strengthen your foundation. This week, spend focused time clarifying your mission statement, financial plan, or daily routine. Strengthen the hidden things.
Example: One of my non-negotiables is morning reflection and reading before diving into emails or calls. That 30 minutes roots my day, and everything else flows from there. Try setting aside 15 minutes daily this week for root work in your area.
Business/Wealth
Foundation Before Expansion
Entrepreneurs often want to scale quickly, but expansion without systems leads to collapse. Build infrastructure (processes, people, tools) before you chase size.
Tips to Strengthen Business Roots:
-
Document one process this week (client onboarding, billing, follow-up).
-
Track one key metric consistently (cash flow, conversion, or retention).
-
Protect your mission from distraction by saying ânoâ to misaligned opportunities.
đ Tool Spotlight:
Notion â great for creating living playbooks, SOPs, and dashboards so your systems grow with you.

Your Move This Week:
Choose one âhiddenâ thing youâll strengthen this week â it could be:
-
A savings habit
-
A new morning routine
-
A weekly family check-in
-
Refining your brand story
Remember: fruit comes from roots.

E-Mover Motivation â "Stay Rooted"
You may not see immediate fruit, but donât be discouraged. God honors hidden faithfulness. When the storm comes, roots are what hold you steady.
Stay consistent. Stay faithful. Your harvest is inevitable.
Consider This Before You Go...
Fruit is exciting, but roots are essential. Champions arenât made when theyâre shining; theyâre made in the dark seasons of planting, watering, and waiting. Stay rooted in your mission. Fruit will follow.
Until next week...
Stay essential. Stay moving. Stay consistent.

đ INVESTMENT INSIGHT: Purpose-Driven Profit
A diversified portfolio is good, but donât spread too thin too soon. Root yourself in learning one market before chasing them all.
-
If youâre in Forex, master one currency pair first.
-
If youâre in stocks, start with one sector you understand deeply.
-
The deeper the roots, the stronger the returns.
